Marina Berthing

Marina de Lagos is a comfortable and safe marina, unaffected by most swell and weather and situated right in the heart of the beautiful town of Lagos with fantastic beaches and restaurants nearby. All  boat services and chandlery easily accessible at nearby Sopromar Marine.

Safe shelter in the wide estuary of the Arade river. Friendly staff and good facilities make this a great place to stop for a while or to leave your boat – though in Winter the North Basin suffers from swell. All services and chandlery available at the boatyard across the river.

A safe and very sheltered marina in a high-quality tourist complex, where green areas predominate. Chandlery, reapir facilities and expertise, plus  hotels, restaurants, bars, shops, swimming pools, apartments, villas, and a center for fun, and leisure.

Sheltered easily entered marina with helpful staff who will assist with berthing if you ask them. A superyacht marina but surprisingly affordable in the off season for ordinary sailors. A very touristy marina complex with many restaurants and shops.

Modern easily accessible marina in the Ria Formosa with a huge waiting list for permanent berths. However, they usually have visitor berths available for short stays. More expensive than other Algarve marinas, but not excessively so. Prior booking is essential, just ‘turning up’ is not recommended.

Marina at the mouth of the Guadiana river.  Short term berths may be hard to find, and manoevering other than at slack water can be stressful as the current runs strongly through the pontoons. The website has several pages missing, but you can find the contact details there. Responsive on email.

Opposite and slightly upriver from VRSA, on the Spanish side. A friendly and affordable marina in a lovely little town which usually has visitor berths available. Phone first to confirm a berth. (Phone usually better than email).  Some silting – if entering at LW stay close to the green marker then  stay close to the hammerheads when making your way up the channel.
